Through hands-on cooking and gardening programs integrated into the regular school day, ESYNYC helps students build healthy relationships with food, their community, and the environment. Our comprehensive approach includes classroom instruction, culturally responsive curriculum that reinforces core academics, and beautifully maintained school gardens that provide ingredients for cooking classes and community distributions. ESYNYC also offers extracurricular activities, afterschool programs, and family engagement events that promote sustainability and plant-forward nutrition, working continuously with partners to support student, family, and community wellness throughout New York City’s public schools.
